We at Sentenashi Karate are proud of our roots! Originating as Seido-Kan Karate in 1977 and developing into what is now Sentenashi Karate, the unique style of martial arts offered at Sentenashi Karate has since evolved into a versatile martial arts system for the new millennium. We believe strongly in the integral role that a coach and Sensei play in a student’s growth and are confident in our team’s expertise of high-quality instruction and guidance for all our students within their Sentenashi karate martial arts education. 1977
Seido-Kan Karate is founded in 1977 in Southern Ontario by Sensei Mario Quiquero and further developed with assistance from Hanshi Strohbach
1991
Hanshi Strohbach becomes teacher certified by Seido-Kan Karate School and establishes the three largest karate schools in Southern Ontario
1998
Hanshi Strohbach introduces Seido-Kan Karate to Calgary
2010
Sentenashi Karate become a recognized by JKF (Japan Karatedo Federation) Wado-Kai Branch Hanshi Strohbach becomes a certified JKF Wado-Kai instructor and examiner.
Sentenashi Karate School becomes ALBERTA’S ONLY professionally recognized certified Educational Institution by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) 7009/12091 for the study of Karate
2012
Sentenashi Karate has a historic 100% passing rate for the Japan Karate-do Federation Wado-Kai black belt certification
2014
First Karate Canada National Team Member from Sentenashi Karate
2016
First Canadian National Karate Champion and First U.S.A Karate Open Champion from Sentenashi Karate
2018
First Wado-Kai World Champion from Sentenashi Karate.
2019
Hanshi Strohbach graduates with advanced coaching diploma from the Canadian Sport Institute at the University of Calgary
Hanshi Strohbach becomes Chartered Professional Coach certified by the Coaching Association of Canada
2020
The Sentenashi Virtual Educational Karate Institute is launched.
